BADIN, Jan 17: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has urged people to follow teachings and politics of Fazil Rahu who always fought against injustice, exploitation and for the rights of the downtrodden.
Speaking at a meeting held to mark the 19th death anniversary of the founder of the Awami Tehrik, Fazil Rahu, at Rahuki in the Badin district, he said the late leader was a great democrat and raised his voice against injustices.
Paying rich tributes for creating awareness among peasants, students and poor people, he said Fazil was a practical person and started his politics when rights of the poor were snatched.
He said Fazil always spoke truth and never misled the masses and always gave them clear picture of the situation and for that reason he would be always alive in the hearts of the poor.
The chief minister said that he would not withdraw from any issue of the Sindh as people had given him mandate to be the chief minister and he would not breach the trust of the people.
He said he had presented Sindh’s case before Islamabad and hoped the response of government would be in favour of Sindh.
