KARACHI: Ban on meals

KARACHI, Jan 17: The Town Municipal Officer of Liaquatabad Town, Ghufran Ahmed, has directed owners of all marriage halls and hotels situated in the limits of Liaquatabad Town, to ensure implementation of the Supreme Court’s decision regarding a ban on serving meals at wedding ceremonies.

He has warned of severe legal action if directives were not followed in letter and spirit. In this connection, a three-member vigilance committee has also been constituted to check violators.—APP
