KARACHI: Rauf orders inquiry in kidnapping case

KARACHI, Jan 17: Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui, taking notice of reports about kidnapping of a journalist by a landlord in Nawabshah, issued directives to the RPO Sukkur to carry out an impartial inquiry and initiate action under the law against the perpetrators of the crime.

Expressing displeasure and concern over the reports of humiliating a woman in Jamshoro by a landlord, he ordered the RPO Hyderabad to provide complete protection to the woman.

He directed the RPO in writing to take legal action against elements involved in the incident, said an official statement on Monday.

He also directed the DPO Sukkur in writing to conduct inquiry and take action against the persons involved in the rape case of a college student in Sukkur.—APP
