KARACHI, Jan 17: Eight ships carrying soyabean meal, containers and to load molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to the KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest, where five ships, Lalazar, to offload crude oil, Katya Zelenko, to unload vehicles, Induruwas Valley, to offload maize seeds, Yang Jiang He, to unload and load containers and Lepta Galaxy, to unload coal were berthed.

Four others, including Ever Gather, PONL Buenos Aires, Sancris, and Oriental Orchid departed on Tuesday, while Corn Thaikos, Yang Jiang He, Eburna Swat, Evgenia, Lalazar, Bunga Kenari, and Katya Zelenko are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side, where a total cargo of 119,902 tons comprising 9,204 tons of export volume and 110 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Johar, with crude oil, Jo Gran, to load molasses, Y M Star, CMA CGM Swala, Iran Shaharyar, with containers, Mercs Ruhunu, with soyabean meal, Leopard, to load general cargo and Kengtung with general cargo.
