Police fail to recover girl after 3 months

By Our Correspondent

SHEIKHUPURA, Jan 16: Police have failed to recover a girl student who had allegedly been abducted about three months ago. Reports said Amir of Mauza Bhikhi lodged a case with Bhikhi police alleging that Akram, Amjad, Arshad and Shabbir alias Hafeez had kidnapped his daughter ‘M’, a class X student.

The girl’s parents — Amir Ali and Ghafooran Bibi — told journalists here on Monday that Jewanppura SI Sharif Kamboh allegedly received bribe from the accused and the court granted them interim bail.

They said a few days ago they had gone to the police station to approach Sharif Kamboh where the kidnappers were already present. The girl’s parents said the accused abused them and threatened them with dire consequences.

The victim family urged the IGP and Sheikhupura range DIG to get their daughter recovered at the earliest.
