Qesco to get Rs6.4bn loan from WB

QUETTA, Jan 16: The Quetta Electric Supply Company (Qesco) will obtain Rs6.4 billion loan from the World Bank for setting up new grid stations and laying transmission lines in the province over the next four years.

Qesco Chief Executive Brig Tussadiq Hussain Shah, briefing nazims and district coordination officers here on Monday, said the company planned to build four grid stations and lay a 220kV transmission line of 170km in Gwadar. Currently there is one grid station in Gwadar.
