KARACHI, Jan 16: Nine ships carrying containers, coal and steel cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to the KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where 11 ships were berthed. They are: Iran Baluchistan, Corin Thiakos, Sagamore, PONL Buenos Aires, Ever Gather to unload and load containers, Golden Glory, Swat, Zaabeel, Oriental Orchid, Eburna, oil tankers, and CEC Castle, with general cargo.

Sailing was also active as nine ships: Wan Hai-266, Sagamore,Kota Teguh, Spar Virgo, Sindbad Dream, Sea Crown, Iran Baluchistan, Zaabeel, and Golden Glory departed, while CEC Castle, PONL Buenos Aires, Eburna, Ever Gather, Swat, Corin Thaikos, Yang Jiang He, and Oriental Orchid are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.120m tons comprising 4,815 tons of export cargo including 1,731 tons of rice and 0.116m tons of import cargo was handled.

These ships are due on Tuesday: APL Cairo, Bunga Kenari, Kota Mesra, Sinar Bontang, Kota Wangi, Kota Teraju, Lepta Galazy, Puspita, with coal and African Sanderting with steel and general cargo.
