By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Jan 15: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has announced a cash reward of Rs1 million for the NAs police on the arrest of four proclaimed offenders belonging to a banned extremist organization.

Those arrested by the police were wanted in connection with the murder of a religious leader, Agha Ziauddin Rizvi.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, the minister appreciated the performance of the NAs police and said protection of every citizen was the prime responsibility of the government. He said all miscreants would be taken to task by the law- enforcement agencies.

The minister congratulated NAs Inspector General Sarmad Saeed, Superintendent Police Gilgit Raja Rahmat and the police party on conducting a successful operation for the arrest of four fugitives who had been at large for the last one year.

He asked the IGP to make all out efforts to arrest the absconders involved in the murder of former NAs IG Sakhiullah Tareen.
