KASUR, Jan 15: Former nazim of UC 4, along with two PML parliamentary secretaries and some accomplices, allegedly attacked his successor in his office and thrashed some of the staff members on Saturday night. According to an application submitted by UC-4 nazim elect Mirza Naseem with city’s A division police, ex-nazim Malik Ijaz Ahmad, PML parliamentary secretaries Malik Ahmad Khan and Malik Ahmad Saeed, along with some armed men, entered the office on Shahbaz Road where Mr Naseem was present.

They attacked Mr Naseem, who ran out of the office to save his life. The intruders then started thrashing two staff members Kashif and Idrees and threw away the office furniture.

The nazim elect claimed that the former office-bearer was reluctant to hand over the office to him on which the TMO concerned had intervened and following the legal procedure placed the office under his charge which annoyed the accused.

Mr Naseem also alleged that the attackers took away some important office documents, including the chequebook.
