DADU, Jan 15: A large number of social workers and activists staged a demonstration outside the press club on Sunday against an investigation SP for releasing murderer of Allah Dito Butt. The protesters were led by district president of the Jamiat Tuleba-i-Islam Mohammad Ibrahim Leghari and social workers, Basheer Ahmed Solangi and Liaquat Ali Chahwan.

They alleged that Haji Khan Bhand, Suleman Punar, Ghulam Hussain and Gul Mohammad Dawach had shot dead an employee of the civil hospital, Allah Dito Butt, in Dadu around 15 days ago.

They said that relatives of the deceased had nominated these persons in the FIR.

The protesters alleged that the investigation SP and in charge of investigation at the Dadu police station had received Rs300,000 from the accused to release them.

They appealed to the president and prime minister to provide them justice.

The SP told Dawn that he had not received bribe from any person.
