KARACHI:Water lines of Shah Faisal to be replaced

KARACHI, Jan 15: The Nazim of Shah Faisal Town, Muhammad Imran, says the town administration attaches top priority to improving water and sewerage systems. He said obsolete lines would be replaced for which the city nazim had provided Rs50 million, adding that a PC-I of the project had already been prepared, said a statement on Sunday.

Speaking at the town council’s first session, Imran said he had set development priorities in consultation with the nazims and naib nazims of all the town’s union councils.

He said other development schemes including construction of roads, footpaths, improving streetlights, parks, playgrounds and development of green belts would be kicked off in stages.

The town council also unanimously approved the payment of bonus equivalent to one-month salary to the officers and staff of the town administration for good performance during Eidul Azha.—PPI
