KARACHI, Jan 13: Pakistan has made headway in the realms of IT and its impact has now started becoming visible on the country’s economy. This was stated by Sindh Adviser on Information Technology Mohammad Noman Saigol.

He was talking to various delegations of industrialists and businessmen in his office here on Friday.

The adviser informed that an international conference on IT would be organized soon with the collaboration of the private sector in which foreign as well as local investors would participate.

He said that the Sindh IT department was undertaking efforts so that investors from various IT sectors come up with investments in the province.

Mr Saigol was of the view that Sindh was an ideal and profitable province as far as investment in the IT sector was concerned.

He said that due to the improvement in the law and order situation in the province, business activities were also gaining momentum.

The adviser pointed out that the establishment of free IT centres in the province would help impart computer education especially to the poor.—APP
