Snags over Haj flight plans removed

ISLAMABAD, Jan 10: The ministry of religious affairs announced on Tuesday that difficulties over availability of slots at the Haj Terminal in Jeddah had been eased following the intervention of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.

The ministry said in a press statement that the national air carrier would now be able to smoothly airlift pilgrims out of Saudi Arabia and back to Pakistan.

Accordingly, PIA has issued the latest flight schedule in respect of those Haj flights which had departed to Saudi Arabia from 3rd-6th December 2005. Relatives of Haj pilgrims have been advised to ascertain information about the latest flight schedule provided from the respective Haj camps on the following telephone numbers.

i) Haji Camp, Islamabad (051-9278274), ii) Haji Camp, Lahore (042-6375986), iii) Haji Camp, Karachi (021-5684551), iv) Haji Camp, Peshawar (091-9217483), v) Haji Camp, Quetta (081-2443852).
