Nawaz calls for unity against tyrants

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Jan 10: Pakistan Muslim League leader and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in his message on Eidul Azha urged the people of Pakistan to revive the Sunnah of Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S.) and follow the path of truth and justice. He said: “Muslims are once again facing aggression therefore they should forgo mutual differences to forge unity against tyrants.

“Unfortunately, the flawed policies of the present rulers of Pakistan have pushed the people into a quagmire of price hikes, unemployment and poverty, and the military actions in tribal areas and Balochistan have seriously jeopardized national unity and solidarity.

“We must remember that, after the blessings of Allah, adherence to the Constitution alone can ensure safeguards to national unity, independence, sovereignty and prosperity. We must put restoration of the Constitution above everything else if we want to survive as a proud sovereign nation.”
