Minister for land data cleansing

By Our Staff Reporter

LAHORE, Jan 10: Revenue Minister Gul Hameed Khan Rokhri on Tuesday directed all district officers (revenue) to immediately complete the process of data cleansing by removing mistakes in the land record of their respective districts so as to help complete computerization of the land revenue record in the province.

It was necessary to remove the mistakes so as to feed accurate and non-controversial data in computer, the minister said while presiding over a meeting of the district revenue officers here.

The meeting was also attended by BoR senior member Safdar Javaid Syed and Revenue Secretary Faqir Muhammad Javaid.

The revenue officers presented reports about the land record computerization in their respective districts.

The meeting decided to organize district revenue officers’ training workshop about the data cleansing in the last week of the current month.

Meanwhile, speaking at an open kutchery at the PML House, the minister asked the Lahore DCO to hold an inquiry into the allegations against the chief gynaecologist of Lahore district government’s health department, Dr Nasreen Hameed.

He passed the direction after a delegation of Lahore’s lady health visitors accused Dr Hameed of forcing staff to send patients to her private clinic for treatment, intimidating those not following the instructions. The delegation also levelled charges of other nature against the doctor.

The minister also directed the Children’s Hospital medical superintendent to ensure treatment of a child, and the Baitul Maal department to help a poor hepatitis patient.
