KARACHI, Jan 10: Town Nazim Gulshan-i-Iqbal Mohammad Wasia Jalil announced on Tuesday that the town administration would provide round-the-clock services to the citizens.

The administration has prescribed certain sites for dumping of offal. These are Najaf Ground for UC-1, along the Prison Wall for UC-2, 3 and 4, Urdu College Ground and Works Society Ground for UC-6 and 7, Waseem Bagh for UC-5 and 8, Disco Bakery for UC-5, 9 and 11, Juma Bazar Gulstan-i-Johar for UC-10, 12 and 13, along Mubina town Police Station for UC-11, 12 and 13.

People may contact the town on phones 9230355 and 9230359 for any help and complaint.

The town nazim said that service centre of the Gulshan Town would remain open round-the-clock to receive complaints. Moreover, he said different teams have been constituted that would make surprise visits to the areas to check the sanitation work and removal of offal.

FAISAL TOWN: The nazim of Shah Faisal Town Mohammad Imran has declared an emergency in the town and cancelled the leaves of officers and staff and directed them to provide services to the people round-the-clock.

The town administration has also arranged 150 vehicles for removal of offal during Eid holidays.

The town nazim announced that he would personally monitor the three-day cleanliness operations and warned that no official would be spared for any slackness.

A central control room has been set up at the town nazim secretariat with phone number 9248646, 9248647 and 9248651.

The town administration has already set up six dumping stations where offal would be brought.

The UC Nazims have been provided with 96 Suzuki pickups and open trucks while the town administration would operate over 50 vehicles. It has also arranged fumigation in the entire area.—PPI
