LAHORE, Jan 9: A fine 87 by Faisal Iqbal was the main feature on the final day of the three-day match between India and Pakistan ‘A’ which ended in a tame draw at Bagh-i-Jinnah on Monday.
Faisal’s knock also enabled Pakistan ‘A’ to declare the first innings at 358 for nine before tea after resuming at 212 for four in the morning, conceding India 56-run lead on the first innings.
India were 72 without loss in 13 overs in the second innings when the umpires called off the match, 56 minutes before the schedule time.
Wasim Jaffar (35, six fours) and Gautam Gambhir (28, five fours) were at the crease.
Faisal with Zulqarnain Haider (35, five fours) were involved in 88 runs for the seventh-wicket.
Umar Gul (15) and Rao Iftikhar (0) were batting when ‘A’ captain Hasan Raza declared the innings.
