Published January 10, 2006

KARACHI, Jan 9: As many as 23 villages in Hawkesbay in Keamari Town are without basic facilities, including provisions of potable water, gas, health and education.

This was stated by the villagers in Abdul Rehman Goth in Hawkesbay to Senator Nisar Memon when he paid a visit to the village.

According to Baloch Rights Council, the Senator pledged to visit some more villages.

A group of women also held a demonstration against land-grabbing. However, on the intervention of the senator, a part of the village’s land occupied by a builder was vacated.
