LAHORE, Jan 8: Jamaat-i-Islami deputy secretary-general Dr Farid Piracha has termed US bombing of Waziristan an attack on independence and sovereignty of the country. In a statement on Sunday, he said Nato forces were present in a sensitive part of the country while American jets taking off from Afghanistan were pounding northern Pakistan, killing innocent citizens.
