Notice issued to NWFP govt in teacher’s case

PESHAWAR, Jan 8: The Supreme Court, Peshawar bench, on Friday issued notices to the provincial government and the EDO Education, Lakki Marwat, over an appeal of an unseated teacher seeking reinstatement on a PTC post. A two-member bench comprising Justice Sardar Mohammad Raza Khan and Justice Nasirul Mulk issued notices to the government and the EDO to clear their position on the next date of hearing.

The petition was filed by Ammanullah who was terminated on the grounds for allegedly tampering his date of birth in his original metric certificate.

Fateh Mohammad appeared on behalf of the petitioner and submitted that his client was appointed against teacher’s post in the primary school, Adamzai Lakki Marwat, and was dismissed after six years of service.

The petitioner’s counsel argued that his client was not involved in the alleged tampering case instead a peon of the school was involved.—APP
