Prisoners given Eid gifts

SHEIKHUPURA, Jan 8: The government is making all-out efforts to provide maximum facilities to the people without any discrimination. This was stated by District Nazim Sahibzada Mian Jalil Ahmed Sharqpuri while distributing Eid gift packets among prisoners here on Sunday.

The district nazim asked a group of prisoners that they could inform him without any hesitation about problems they were facing in prison.

He said that the condition of jail hospital would soon be improved by providing sufficient medicines and modern equipment. He expressed his satisfaction over the food being provided to prisoners. He also announced to provide five TV sets to jail staffers.

The district nazim also inspected various barracks and listened to complaints of prisoners and directed the jail authority to redress their grievances.

Naib Nazim Malik Rehmat Ali Dogar, MPA Mian Khalid, nazim Chaudhry Saleem, Markazi Anjuman Tajran chairman Malik Aslam Baloch, Printers Association president Ali Abid, EDO (Community) Malik Imtiaz, jail superintendent Malik Ziauddin, assistant jail superintendent Malik Madassar Khan, women councillors and journalists were also present on the occasion.
