Pakistan clinch series amid Indian protest

By Our Correspondent

HYDERABAD, Jan 4: Pakistan clinched women’s netball series beating India 2-1 at Niaz Stadium on Wednesday, a match marred by the visitors walkout. Pakistan won the match 16-15.

Indian players walked out thrice after objecting to decisions by the Pakistani umpire.

Indian media manager B N Jha expressed his displeasure over what he termed unfair decisions.

Everyone had watched the match and could well judge the results, said the visitors’ coach.

Captain Panchali Tatke also declined. “I do not want to say anything.”

The match was organised on the outfield of Niaz Stadium since the city has no facility for the indoor game.
