Affiliated clubs number drops

LAHORE, Jan 4: The number of clubs affiliated with the Lahore District Hockey Association (LDHA) has reduced from 26 to 18 after the scrutiny of clubs held on Wednesday.

The scrutiny committee, however, recommended 16 new clubs for the right of votes. If granted right of vote the number of clubs would increase to 34.

A decision in this connection is likely to be taken before the elections of the LDHA scheduled for Thursday.

The LDHA had been split into two groups three years ago and a fresh elections could resolve the long standing issue.

The clubs which have the right of play and recommended for the right of vote:

Lahore Club, Old Mao College, Shaheen Club, Township Club, Javed High School Old Boys, Blessed Club, Raiders Club, Ferozepur Heroes, Shafqat Rana Club, Model Hockey Club, Model Town Club, Pak Hockey Club, Amritsar Rovers, Saeed Jolly Club, Shafqat Ali Club, Gulberg Stars, Pak Sarhad Club.

The clubs which have the right of vote are:

Anis Club, Iftikhar Old Club, New Ittehad Club, Pak Heroes Club, Mohammedan Club, Cantt Friends, Ravians Club, Ideals Club, CC Club, Pak Hockets Club, Stars Club, Islamia College Old Boys Club, Packages Club, Afghan Club, Crescent Club, Old Ravians Club, Nobels Club, Wohaib Club.
