NAROWAL, Jan 4: Fifteen villages are without electricity for a week as 2,400-meter power supply wire had been stolen from poles in Wapda subdivision No 3. Residents of Khan Khasa, Ldhar Karam Singh, Jhatri Jhanda, Kotly Chaman Abbas, Pakhoke, Range Pur and Ludher villages protested against Wapda authorities for not restoring the power supply for so long.
Wapda Executive Engineer Muhammad Rafique Iqbal said the department had lodged an FIR against the unidentified thieves and was also trying to arrange wire to restore the electric supply to all the affected villages.
The villagers have demanded immediate restoration of electric supply. — Correspondent
