ISLAMABAD, Jan 2: Federal Minister for Tourism Ghazi Gulab Jamal has said the government in collaboration with Pakistan Navy will establish and develop tourist resorts in the coastal areas from Karachi to Gwadar covering around 960 kilometres.

The minister, in a statement issued here on Monday, said he along with Rear Admiral Rao Iftikhar and other navy officers had visited the coastal areas in order to see the potential and locate places for developing tourist resorts.

About the revival of tourism industry in the earthquake-hit areas, he said the ministry was taking every possible step to reestablish the industry in these areas on modern lines.

Mr Jamal said in this regard, we had a meeting with the top bankers to get soft loans for the revival of tourism industry and the response was good.
