KARACHI: New IG takes charge

KARACHI, Jan 2: Inspector-General of Police, Sindh, Jehangir Mirza, assumed the charge as Provincial Police Officer at Central Police Office on Monday.

He was presented guard of honour on this occasion.

After assuming the charge, the PPO addressed an informal meeting of police officers in which he impressed upon them to discharge their assigned responsibilities with complete dedication.

Taking particular interest in connection with bringing improvement in the traffic system of the city, he directed DIG Traffic to prepare suggestions in this regard, identifying the difficulties and bottlenecks.

Meanwhile, DIG Operation Mushtaque Ahmed Shah has been promoted from BS-19 to BS-20.—APP/PPI
