KARACHI, Jan 2: The CNG station owners and dealers, after creating a confusion last week by announcing Rs 1.25 per kg increase in CNG price, have now come out with a new enhanced price ranging from Rs2-2.40 per kg depending on the area location.

Vehicle owners in Sindh and Balochistan will pay Rs two per kg more to fill their car cylinders at Rs31 as compared to Rs29 per kg prior to the increase in gas prices.

In Lahore area the gas price has been increased by Rs 2.40 per kg, while in Peshawar and Rawalpindi areas – an increase of Rs2.14 per kg has been made.

The CNG Station Owners Association and CNG Dealers Association held their joint emergent meeting on January 1, in the light of notification issued by the government on December 31, and it was decided that instead of an increase of 13.56 per cent, the actual increase is 15.5 per cent in the notification, says a press release.
