Two weapon smugglers arrested

SIALKOT, Dec 31: The Sialkot police have arrested two alleged smugglers and foiled their bid to smuggle a big quantity of automatic weapons in the district of Friday evening.

Sialkot DPO Dr Tariq Khokhar told journalists that a police team during a special checking near Uggoki arrested Khatab Gul and Jamshed Khan. They belonged to Peshawar, he added.

The DPO said the police recovered 11 rifles of 7mm bore, 10 rifles of 8mm, 25 pistols of 44, six pistols, six pump action and hundreds of cartridges and bullets from their possession.
