Zahid helps SGP rout SSGC
KARACHI, Dec 28: Three-goal Zahid Ahmad helped Sindh Government Press (SGP) crush Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) 7-1 in the PFF league qualifiers at Aga Khan Gymkhana on Wednesday.
The winners opened the account through Zahid in the 13th minute, while Amir Shaukat doubled the lead in the 35th minute. Zahid poached his second moments before halftime.
SSGC scored the consolation goal through Zeeshan 10 minutes into second session. Zahid grabbed his third in the 62nd before Farhan came into action twice in the 66th and 69th minutes. Manzoor Ali completed the tally with a 75th-minute strike.
KESC defeated Mauripur Baloch 4-0 at City District Government Karachi Stadium.
The winners drew first blood when Aftab found the target in the fourth minute, while Moosa netted the second in the 32nd. Aurangzaib, who was red carded for misconduct, found the net four minutes later and Moosa got his second two minutes into second half.
Thursday is a rest day.
