KARACHI: Workshop on health ends

KARACHI, Dec 28: Doctors with special interest in echocardiography and technologists working in the said field from different hospitals of the city, on Monday actively participated in the ‘First Live Trans-oesophageal Echocardiography Workshop’ organized by the Cardiology Department of the Dow University of Health Sciences.

Dr Mirza Wajid Baig, Chief of Cardiology at St Annes Hospital and President of the Charlton Memorial Hospital, USA, was the workshop convener. He performed live-case demonstrations, beneficial for many professionals, who are unable to go abroad for training and skill learning.

Prior to the demonstration, Prof Khalida Soomro, Head of the Cardiology Department, DUHS - CHK, delivered an orientation lecture on the subject and procedure.—APP
