Rambel tames Rahat


PESHAWAR, Dec 27: Top seed Rambel Gul Khan got off to a flying start on the opening day of the 14th Frontier Cup snooker beating Rahat Khan in straight frames on Tuesday. Rambel took no time in taming his rival in straight frames 70-40, 71-33, 65-58.

In another match, former eight-time champion Muhammad Hussain defeated Asad Pervaiz 3-1 (88-11, 55-33, 30-72, 72-44, 60-34) in an hour and 10 minutes battle.

Sixty-four players from Abbottabad, Swat, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Nowshera, Mardan, Dera Ismail Khan, Charsadda and hosts Peshawar are taking part in the cup. Top eight players of the event will represent the province on the National Circuit.
