Zain shines
LAHORE, Dec 27: Soneri Bank and Diamond Paints won their respective matches in the Seasons Canola Polo Cup on Tuesday. Four goals by Zain Khan Khakwani and three goals by Asif Nawaz Tiwana and Jawad Jamil Malik, helped bankers beat Mixed Bag 10- 5 1/2.
For the losers, who had a half goal handicap, Nasir Ahmad Khan (2), Tariq Hashim (1), Parvez Khan (1) and Qaskim Ahmed Khan (1) were the scorers.
Four goals by Umar Sadik propelled Diamond to a 5-1 win over Guard Rice. Agha Murtaza Ali Khan struck the remaining one goal. Ahmed Zubair scored the consolation goal for the Guard.—BoC
