WANA (South Waziristan), Dec 27: Three soldiers were wounded when an army vehicle hit a landmine in the Shakai valley, officials said on Tuesday. The landmine exploded when the vehicle was passing through Inzer Naray village, about 20 kilometres north of Wana, on Monday afternoon, injuring three soldiers.

An official said that the injured soldiers were shifted to a military hospital in the area.

Local authorities have arrested five men of the Ahmadzai Wazir tribe and an Afghan national on charges of planting the landmine.
