Six unclaimed bodies buried

ISLAMABAD, Dec 27: Six unclaimed bodies of earthquake victims lying in the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) were buried in the CDA graveyard on Tuesday. The bodies were kept in the hospital mortuary in wait of their heirs, but after over one-and-half-month the hospital administration handed over the bodies to the police for burial.

Three bodies were identified as that of Sad Jan, 60, a resident of Bagh; Hassan Din, 55, and Sultan Mohammad, 60, residents of Azad Kashmir.

Ms Jan was shifted to the hospital on October 17 and she died on October 18, while Mr Din and Mr Sultan were brought to the hospital on November 1 and they died on November 13.

The bodies of a 13-year-old-girl and two men, aged 55 and 60, could not be identified. The girl was shifted to the hospital on October 17 and she died on October 18.

The 55-year-old man was admitted to the hospital on October 11 and he died after a week, while the 60-year-old man was shifted to the hospital on October 19 where he died after three days.
