Tehsildar injured

By Our Correspondent

WANA, Dec 26: A tehsildar of the South Waziristan political administration was slightly wounded on Monday when his car hit an explosive device near the Himmat village, some six kilometres from Dera Ismail Khan.

Tehsildar Mohammad Wisal was going to Dera Ismail Khan in connection with a crackdown against three tribes under the collective responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) for the killing of two scouts in the South Waziristan Agency earlier this month.

Witnesses said that Mr Wisal’s car was blown up when it ran over a device at around 8am, slightly injuring him.
