Riaz captures seven wickets

LAHORE, Dec 24: Seamer Riaz Afridi took seven wickets to help PTCL demolished National Bank for 161 in the first innings of their Patron’s Trophy Grade-I fixture at Sheikhupura Stadium on Saturday.

Riaz, who had taken four wickets on Friday, added three more scalps to finish with seven for 78 as the bankers were all out in 49.2 overs after resuming at 123-6.

Mansoor Amjad, who resumed at 18, remained the top-scorer with 44, laced with five fours.

Paceman Tahir Mughal took the remaining three wickets for 67 runs.

By close of play, PTCL in first innings were 26 for one in 12 overs.

Only 27.2 overs could be bowled on the third day of the match due to fog because of the entire first day saw no play while only 34 overs were bowled on the second day.
