LAHORE, Dec 24: The arrival of the security delegation of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been delayed due to bad weather. The flight was scheduled to arrive in Lahore on Saturday at 6.30pm but airline sources said it was now expected at 11pm.
The delegation headed by senior police officer and security expert Yashovardhan Azad, is to inspect the security arrangements made by the government of Pakistan for the forthcoming Indian tour to Pakistan starting from Jan 5.
The Indian team is to play three Test and five ODIs in Pakistan.
A PCB spokesman told Dawn that the foggy weather prevailing in most of the cities of Punjab might create problems in arranging the visits of the Indian delegation to all the venues as the flight schedules had been disrupted to a great extent.
He said that according to the original programme the delegation will visit Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Peshawar but at present he was not in a position to confirm any new fresh schedule.
