KHAIRPUR, Dec 24: Standing crops over hundreds of acres and four villages came under water when 40 feet wide breach occurred in the Faiz wah near the Wali Mohammad Punjabi village in the Khairpur district on early Saturday morning.

The affected villagers included Wali Mohammad, Jan Mohammad, Sadoro Khan and others.

They claimed that their entire household was washed away with the gushing water and they were only able to save their lives.

They alleged that no one from the irrigation department reached at the spot.

The villagers were trying to plug the breach themselves.
