Eleven teams for national boxing

PESHAWAR, Dec 23: NWFP Boxing Association intends to hold an International boxing championship here in October next year, Waqar Maroof, President of NWFP Boxing Association said on Friday.

Boxers from India, Bangladesh, Iran and Kazakistan would be invited to participate.

He disclosed that an amount of Rs.5million which would be required for the championship.

He said that arrangements have been finalized to hold the second edition of the All-Pakistan Boxing Championship from Dec 26 at Qayyum Sports Complex. Eleven teams including Wapda, Army, Navy, Karachi Port Trust and four provinces would participate.—APP
