KARACHI, Dec 23: Three vessels carrying containers and chemicals were allotted berths during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, two vessels carrying containers and jute also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 56pc as five ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, canola seeds, chemicals and coal.

A cargo volume of 38,090 tons comprising 27,074 tons of import cargo and 11,016 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Annete Kosan, Al-Wajba and Paraskevi left the port. Two ships, Golden Star and Amasis, were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage.
