KARACHI, Dec 23: Three ships carrying urea, steel scarp and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Rambler, Khairpur to unload and load general cargo, Golden Express to offload and load containers, Al-Marwah, Chem Rose, oil tankers and George Lyras, to unload iron scrap.

Sailing on the other hand was fairly active as eight ships, Iran Baluchistan, Hyundai Stride, Y.M.Moon, Marca Labria, Hannibal-2, Shina and Manora Narfee departed on Friday, while PONL Vera Cruz, Kota Teraju, Chem Rose, Rouba, Al-Marwah, Sagamore, Great Mary, Ex Sanctity, Elli, Rambler and E.O.S.-I are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side as total tonnage amounted to 92,714 tons comprising 24,403 tons of export cargo and 68,311 tons of import tonnage included 8,103 tons of urea.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Ilse Wulff, with containers, Thor Jupiter, with 31,228 tons of urea and Capetan Michalis, with 27,007 tons of scrap.
