Asmat and Nida shine

LAHORE, Dec 22: Government Post Graduate College, Gujranwala enter the semifinals of the Punjab University Inter-collegiate cricket championship for women, beating College of Physical Education, Lahore by six wickets on Thursday.

Asmat conceded only 14 runs off four overs as Physical College could collect 123-8 in the allotted 20 overs.

Sania and Sobia grabbed two wickets each.

For Physical College, Anila (25), Nausheen (20) and Asma (18) were the top scorers.

The winners reached the target 125 for four in 19.1 overs. Nida (37) and Saba (20) remained unbeaten, Anila took two wickets for 27 runs.
