HYDERABAD: Order to revise rickshaw fares

HYDERABAD, Dec 22: A bench of the Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit, on Thursday directed authorities concerned to evolve a mechanism to curb the menace of noise and smoke emission from rickshaws, ensure installation of fare meters and revise fares of rickshaw.

The bench ordered to finalize the matter within four weeks and submit a report in the court on Feb 28.

The court perused reports presented by Sindh additional advocate-general Masood A. Noorani.

The reports showed that some rickshaws had been booked by traffic police for not having meters and emitting smoke.
