KARACHI, Dec 22: Eight ships carrying urea, steel cargo and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where eight ships, Eax Sancitity, Marca Labria, Hyundai Stride, Kota Teraju, Ponl Vera Cruz and Y.M.Moon to unload and load containers, Elli and Shina to offload oil were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships which departed included Thor Captain, Ever Guard, APL Cairo, Kota Waruna and Iran Nabuyat, while Zong Shan Men, Iran Baluchistan, Hannibal-2, Hyundai Stride, Shina, Manora Naree, Y.M.Moon, Elli and Golden Express are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active where a total tonnage of 0.136m tons comprising 34,925 tons of export cargo including 6,445 tons of rice and 0.101m tons of import tonnage, which also included 10,644 tons of fertilizer, was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Swat, with 65,390 tons crude oil, E.O.S-1, Sagamore, PAC Antlia, with containers, African Ibis, with 29,918 tons of urea, Khairpur, with general cargo, Degat Blue and ASO, with steel cargo.
