By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Dec 20: The Balochistan National Party (Awami) has urged the federal government to resolve all issues of the province through negotiations. The party’s central executive committee, in a meeting held in Hub on Tuesday, observed that Balochistan was facing financial problems which were deepening because of delay in announcement of the National Finance Commission award.

It suggested that Balochistan should be given its share in the resources on the basis of population, territory, needs and backwardness.

It asked the federal government to provide maximum financial help to Balochistan for resolving its problems till the announcement of the award.

It said the centre should develop a consensus among the provinces on the Kalabagh dam.

It said apprehensions and reservations of Sindh and the NWFP regarding the project should be addressed and Balochistan’s interests should be protected while taking a decision on the issue.

It said the Balochistan government should be taken into confidence in all decisions regarding the province.

Provincial Finance Minister Syed Ehsan Shah, Fisheries Minister Mir Mohammad Asghar Rind And other members of the committee attended the meeting presided over by BNP-A president Mir Israr Zehri.
