KARACHI, Dec 19: Two ships carrying diesel oil and coal arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, according to a PQA press release issued here on Monday.

Berthing was slow as only one container ship was allotted berth at the QICT.

Cargo handling activity was slow at the wharves where a total tonnage of 11,346 tons comprising imported commodities including 5,770 tons of sugar was handled.

Sita Camilla was expected to take berth at the QICT. Six ships, Carmen, Fun Niu Shan, Golden, Yanasenki, Anette Kosan and Ace-7, with containers, sulphur, jute and chemicals were due to arrive at the port on Monday, while Faviola and Sealand Voyager carrying seeds and containers were expected to reach on Tuesday.
