KARACHI, Dec 19: Eight ships carrying flours, chemicals and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly large as a dozen vessels were berthed to load and unload various commodities. They are: Rouba, to load cement, Eleonora, to load rice, Ponl Buenos Aires, Troyburg, Corin Thaikos to unload and load containers, Stella Quarta, CEC Delta, Iron Butterfly, Celine, Lynx to unload and load general cargo and Shalamar and Basaves Hwara to unload oil.

Sailing was also active as a dozen ships departed including Wan Hai-311, Sagamore, Kota Merdesa, Bow Wallaby, Royal Crown, Taisetsu, Kota Teguh, PONL Buenos Aires, OBS Glory, Meme Mcha, Koriana, CEC Delta and Balgarka, while Lynx, Troyburg, Basaves Hwara, Corin Thaikos, Hlange, Shalamar, Celine, Faros, Orbit and Sunny Falcon are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where the total tonnage swelled to 0.191m tons comprising 60,893 tons of export cargo including 7,729 tons of rice and 0.130m tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Stella Terzas, with flours, Almarwah, with chemicals, Kota Waruna, Y.M.Moon, with containers, Spar Capella with coal, Iran Nabubat, Ibn-al-Moataz, with steel coils and Rambler, to load 4,600 tons of cement.
