40 Pakistani pilgrims hurt in accident


ISLAMABAD, Dec 17: Forty Pakistani pilgrims were injured, eight of them seriously, in a road accident while travelling from Madina to Makkah on Thursday.

The accident took place near Rabigh while the pilgrims were travelling in a bus, said a press release issued here on Friday.

Those injured were taken to a hospital. The seriously injured are: Rahimullah and Roza Khan of Diamir district, Shabiran Ijaz, Shamshad Maqbool and Shabana Tabassum of Rawalpindi district, Mohammadi Sultana Bakhsh and Salamat Bibi of Islamabad and Taj Bibi of Gilgit district.
