PESHAWAR, Dec 17: The journalist community on Saturday held a demonstration for the recovery of Hayatullah Khan, a staff correspondent of an English daily, who was kidnapped by masked men in Mirali area of the North Waziristan Agency on Dec 5.

The demonstration was organised by the Tribal Union of Journalists (TUJ) outside the Peshawar Press Club to denounce the kidnapping of the correspondent and bomb blast at the residence of Dilawar Khan Wazir, correspondent of an English daily, early Friday morning.

The protesters condemned the organised witch-hunting of the tribal correspondents working for different national dailies in the tribal agencies.

According to reports, some unidentified miscreants planted a bomb near the wall of Dilawar’s House on Thursday, which went off in the wee hours of Friday.
