Labourer’s daughter gang-raped

By Our Correspondent

SIALKOT, Dec 16: Young daughter of a labourer was allegedly gang-raped at gun point by four people in her house at Ranjhai-Daska village on early Friday morning. According to the FIR registered with Daska Saddar police, the accused, Faisal, Tanveer, Pundari and Gari, stormed into the house of a labourer, Muhammad Din, in his absence. They made hostage the labourer’s wife and his daughter “A” at gun point. After locking his wife in a separate room, the accused raped the girl at gunpoint turn by turn, the FIR said. The accused fled away leaving the girl in a critical condition. None of them has been arrested by the police so far.

Her mother told journalists at Daska the accused were influential people and were still at large. She said the accused were threatening the family with dire consequences for reporting the incident to the police. The police were reluctant to arrest the accused, she alleged.

The family has appealed to Punjab chief minister and IG to provide it security, besides, directing the police to ensure early arrest of the culprits.
